The picture on your left was taken in a Cape Coral Canal.  Cape Coral has 400 miles of water ways.  Prices of canal front homes start at around 300k.  They used to be twice that so get them while their hot.

Check out our About Cape Coral page and our Waterfront property page for more information.

(Right)  These are grouper.  They are great for eating and allot of fun to catch.  Always check your fishing guides for more information on fishing guidelines.  These fish were caught right off shore.  From Cape Coral it is about 13 miles by boat to Edison Reef.  Great fishing spot for locals.

Best way to spend a weekend while living in Cape Coral
If your like us, you love going to the beach.  One of the great things about SW Florida is the abundance of beaches accessible by boat or by car.  Many of these beaches are large but we prefer some of the small ones.  You can anchor and swim to shore or in some cases put your front end of the boat on the beach and push off when you are done.  All in an afternoon ride.
This is one of our favorite spots to take the kids.  It is a little island called Little Shell Island.  In the back ground you can see Sanibel Harbor Resort and Spa.

(Left) Cape Coral Canal view.  I put so many of these in here because so many homes have different views off of them.  The canals in Cape Coral can range from 80ft wide to over 200ft wide and some homes are on basins or small lakes.  Take these things into consideration when purchasing a waterfront home.

(Right)  Cape Harbour Condos.  Filled with shops and Restaurants.  Located in the SW Cape.  One of my favorite areas!

One of the great advantages to living in SW Florida is location. This picture was taken at Venice Beach.  1 hour north of Cape Coral and a few minutes south of Sarasota, this beach is known all over the world for finding Sharks teeth.  Aqua blue water and great sand lines the beach.  Fishing pier and restaurants with clean facilities.  This is a fun day get way.

Day trip from Cape coral   Cruising out of Florida

(Left) This is a relaxing Tiki Hut in Sarasota.  This park has a little bit for everyone.  It sits with the bay on one side and the yacht club on the other.  Water fun for the kids as well as a large park.  Definitely worth the drive.

(Right) As you know, Florida hosts an enormous number of cruise ships.  One of our favorite past times is cruising.  A simple drive, leave your car and off for a week at sea.  No airports, no lay over's just fun!  We love to cruise so feel free to ask us about some of our experiences!

Boating from your own back yard

This is for all the MEN!  From our experiences we like having twin out board engines!  Because of the high salt content in the Gulf, out boards are sometimes easier to maintain.  Boats in general should be kept out of the water and on a lift or in dry storage.

Out board engines are more versatile allowing you to get into more shallow water or set your boat on the beach for a day of fun.
